GMRS License
This video does a great job of leading you through the FCC website to get your FRN number and also GMRS license. The FRN number is the same one you would need for an Amateur (HAM) license. You only need one FRN number and it is used for both the GMRS and HAM licenses. You can start with either one, then just add the other later.

Pretty sure this is the most complicated as far as paperwork. For that reason, I have been told it is much easier to hire someone who charges a fee to do it for you. I just have to figure out who that was so I can post it here.
