Panhandle Amateur Information Net — “PAIN”
Please join the group every Sunday evening at 8pm.  All area radio amateurs are invited to check-in to the PAIN net, either “for the count” or for a report of how your week went!  It is the place to exchange social, technical equipment available for sale or trade and any other information or comments on your mind.  We meet on the 146.940 W5WX “north” repeater.

A great idea for any community is to hold a net for GMRS. The radios can be simple and it’s a great way to build a prepared community. The kids can even hop in easily and participate. It is a great way to start, or just reach those who don’t have an amateur license. Hopefully we will see these start to become common practice.
